Thank you for your interest in Master Effects! We are a one-person company and don’t have the resources to send out multiple pedals to artists and reviewers for free.

 

For Reviewers:  We have existing relationships with several equipment reviewers at this time, and are not soliciting any more. We do, however, recognize the value in having multiple demonstrations of our products on a variety of platforms. If you want to review and return a pedal, we are happy to cover shipping in both directions in the continental United States and Canada. If you wish to keep the pedal, we have adopted the following conversion-based system used by several other builders to accommodate new reviewers:

1. Reviewer contacts Master Effects to request equipment for demonstration and review. This equipment will be sold to the reviewer, in some cases at a discounted price.

2. Master Effects will generate a discount coupon code for the reviewer to include in their demonstration. This will typically be 10-15% off the retail price of the equipment being reviewed.

3. For every purchase that uses this discount code, Master Effects will reimburse 10-25% (depending on equipment price) to the reviewer, until the entire purchase amount has been refunded.

For Artists: Here at Master Effects, we enjoy an ecclectic mix of music from a variety of artists from local to international and all styles of music. We have partnered with musicians to develop short run signature pedals and believe in supporting the music scene. If you are interested in working together to develop a new sound, we want to hear from you! If you are interested in trying out our equipment and are in the greater Calgary area, we have a limited supply of demo units for musicians to try – reach out if you’re interested! All other requests for equipment will be handled in a similar manner to the process above.
